A small company building fleet tracking for companies too small to have an IT department and too busy to read a manual.
Fleet Monitor is run by Javier Carnicer under Web Landscapes LLC, a Florida company. The same company builds websites and small business tools, and fleet tracking started because the owners we build sites for kept asking the same question: "which tracker should I get, and can you just make it work?"
So we're making one that works the way those owners talk: a tracker that plugs in, a map that answers "where is everyone", an alert when a van leaves the yard at night, and a mileage report at the end of the month. One company sells the hardware, runs the dashboard and answers the phone.
Where we are
The trackers are LTE units we set up, label and ship ourselves. The dashboard and the phone app are ours and are being built now. We're taking a small number of pilot fleets so the first version is shaped by real vans doing real jobs. Each pilot fleet gets a written quote and a list of what's live at its start, and nothing is charged until trackers ship.
What we're careful about
- Trackers go in vehicles your company owns or leases, and drivers are told in writing first.
- Your location data is yours. We keep it to run the service, for 12 months, and delete it when you leave. We don't sell it or share it for advertising.
- We describe what the tracker records and leave the results to you: alerts go to your team, and savings depend on what you change.
