Last updated: October 31, 2026. This notice covers fleet-monitor.com and the Fleet Monitor tracking service. The business responsible is Web Landscapes LLC, a Florida company trading as Fleet Monitor. Questions go to contact@fleet-monitor.com.
What the trackers record
- Position, speed and heading every 30 to 60 seconds while the vehicle is moving, and when it starts or stops.
- Engine on and off, and on plug-in units, what the vehicle reports through its port: odometer, fuel level, RPM, coolant temperature, battery voltage and check-engine codes, where the vehicle provides them.
- Device events: plugged in, unplugged, low battery, loss of signal.
- Nothing else. No cameras, no microphones, no phone data. The tracker doesn't know who is driving; the vehicle name and driver names are what you type into the dashboard.
Who owns it and who can see it
- You. The data belongs to your company. The people who can see it are the users you add to your account.
- Us. Our staff see your data only to run the service, help you when you ask, and fix problems. We don't look at it otherwise.
- Drivers. You're the employer and responsible for telling drivers and handling what they ask about their data. A driver view, planned for later in the pilot, lets each driver see their own trips.
Where it's stored and for how long
- On our servers hosted by Cloudflare in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Position history is kept for 12 months on a rolling basis. Monthly reports are kept while your account is open.
- When you cancel, your data is deleted within 30 days. Invoices are kept as long as tax law requires, currently seven years.
- You can ask for a spreadsheet export of your trips and reports at any time.
Who else handles it
Only the providers needed to run the service: Cloudflare (hosting), the mobile network the trackers use (carries the data from the tracker to us; it sees SIM traffic, not your account), our email and text-message providers (alerts and correspondence), and our payment processor (invoices; we don't see full card numbers). We don't sell personal information, share it for advertising, or give it to anyone else unless the law requires it, in which case we tell you if we're allowed to.
What we hold about you as a customer
Your name, company, phone, email, billing and shipping addresses, the vehicle list, the users you add, and correspondence. Kept while your account is open and for three years after, then deleted. Inquiries that don't become accounts: up to 12 months.
This website
The calculator and the demo map run entirely in your browser; what you type into the calculator stays on your device (and in the page address, if you copy the share link). The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. The contact form opens your own email app. Cloudflare keeps standard request logs (IP address, browser type, page requested) for security.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete the information we hold about you or your fleet by emailing us. We reply within 30 days. We may need to keep invoices that tax law requires.
Children
Our service is for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this notice, we update the date at the top and email account holders before the change applies.
