Terms of service
Last updated: October 31, 2026. These terms cover the trackers and the tracking service sold by Web Landscapes LLC, a Florida company trading as Fleet Monitor ("we", "us"), and the free tools on fleet-monitor.com. Questions go to contact@fleet-monitor.com or (786) 372-0287.
1. What you're buying
- Trackers: plug-in or hardwired LTE vehicle trackers, set up to report to our service, with the SIM inside. The SIM stays ours and works only with our service.
- The service: a per-vehicle monthly subscription covering cellular data, the dashboard and phone app, alerts, reports, account setup and training by video call, and support by phone, text and email on weekdays.
- You either buy the trackers and subscribe to the service, or pay one all-in monthly fee per vehicle that includes the use of our trackers. Your quote says which, and lists exactly what you're buying.
2. Early access and the pilot
The service is in a pilot. Before you pay anything you get, in writing, the start date and a list of what the dashboard does on that date and what is planned for later. We don't promise dates for the planned items. A pilot runs on a few vehicles for the period and with the success criteria written in your quote. If you order the rest of the fleet within 30 days of the end of the pilot, what you paid for the pilot is credited as your quote states. If we end the service during your pilot, we refund the trackers you bought from us in the previous six months and send you your data as spreadsheets.
3. Quotes, prices and payment
- We don't publish prices. Every sale follows a written quote in US dollars, valid for 30 days, that names the trackers, quantities, monthly fees, any minimum term and the warranty. Sales tax is added where it applies. Shipping within the US is included.
- Nothing is charged until trackers ship.
- Buying: trackers are invoiced when they ship. The service is billed monthly in advance from the month the first tracker reports. There is no minimum term; cancel for the following month at any time by email or text.
- All-in: the first month is due when the trackers ship, then billing is monthly in advance. The minimum term is in your quote. After it, the subscription continues month to month until you cancel by email or text, unless your quote says otherwise.
- The prices in your quote hold for the period it states; after that we give 30 days' notice of any change. Card and ACH payments are handled by our payment processor.
4. Warranty and returns
- Trackers you buy are yours from delivery and are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for 12 months from shipping. We replace a defective unit; you return the old one in the box we send.
- Trackers on the all-in fee stay ours. If one fails in normal use we replace it for as long as you subscribe. When the subscription ends, send them back within 30 days in the box we provide; trackers not returned, lost or damaged beyond normal wear are charged as set out in your quote.
- Damage, water, tampering and installation in the wrong port or with the wrong wiring are not covered; a replacement is charged.
- Unopened trackers you bought can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund less return shipping. Trackers that have been installed are not returnable except under the warranty or section 2.
5. What the service is not
- Not monitoring. Nobody at Fleet Monitor watches your vehicles or responds to alerts. Alerts go to the people you name, by text or email, and may be delayed or lost by the cellular or email networks.
- Not an ELD, hours-of-service log, or any product regulated by the FMCSA.
- Not a safety, anti-theft or emergency service. Location depends on GNSS and cellular coverage and can be unavailable, delayed or wrong.
- Not a promise of fuel savings, fewer accidents, insurance discounts or any business result.
- Not legal advice, including on employee monitoring or tracking laws.
6. Your part
- You install trackers only in vehicles your company owns or leases, or has the owner's written permission to track.
- You tell the people who drive those vehicles, in writing, before trackers are installed, and you comply with the laws that apply to you, including your state's rules on tracking devices and employee monitoring. We provide a sample notice as a convenience; whether it's sufficient for your situation is for you and your lawyer.
- You keep your login details secure and tell us if an account is compromised. You're responsible for the users you add.
- You don't use the service to track people outside your company, resell it, or reverse-engineer the trackers or the service.
7. Your data
The location and vehicle data the trackers produce is yours. We use it only to run the service for you and as set out in the privacy notice. We keep position history for 12 months and delete your data within 30 days of cancellation, except invoices.
8. The free tools
The cost calculator and the demo map run in your browser and send nothing to us. The calculator is arithmetic on figures you enter and on published rates with their dates; it is for general information and is not tax, legal or financial advice. The demo map shows made-up vehicles on real streets.
9. Liability
We do our work with reasonable care. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we're not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, a stolen or damaged vehicle, a missed alert, cellular or hosting outages, or a claim by a driver or other person about being tracked. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Before going to court, we both agree to try to resolve it by talking first.
11. Changes
If we change these terms, we update the date at the top and email account holders 30 days before the change applies.
