Questions

What happens after the report?

If you go ahead, the trackers ship and record for four weeks to measure each vehicle's real idle hours. Then the alerts and weekly idle reports start, and a monthly statement shows the hours, gallons and dollars saved per vehicle.

Do we have to use a fuel card?

No. Without one, we use the EIA's weekly retail average for your region, and later the gallons come from the tracker.

Is this only for trucks?

No, but trucks are where the numbers are biggest. An hour of idling burns about five times as much fuel in a diesel delivery or bucket truck as in a compact car. See the idle calculator.
